Before the 1900s, people rarely wore wristwatches. Men carried pocket watches
and women often attached watch fobs to their dresses. During World War II,
however, the Army issued wristwatches to soldiers in order to give them quicker
access to time, and when these veterans returned home, they brought the watches
back and popularized them.

I have been a subscriber to you newsletter for quite some time now. Thanks to your
emails, I have joined some really good survey sites and have received great freebies,
too many to mention., However, this one is well worth writing about.
Quite some time ago, I joined Rewards TV thru a link in one of your emails. I did
surveys about tv ratings and did receive lots of points to enter sweepstakes on their
site.  About a year ago, I was telling my husband about it and so he joined as well.
He started going to the Reward TV site often and completed surveys about the tv
shows he had watched the previous nights and entered several of the different
sweestakes.
About a month ago, he woke me early one morning and told me he received an email
from Reward TV that said he won the $10,000 sweepstakes. I first thought it was a
hoax , but, after verifying with Nielsen (they own and run Reward TV), "we" actually
won the $10,000 prize. Katherine at Nielsen was absolutely wonderful. She said alot
of prizes are actually forfeited as most people do not believe the email that they send
to notify the winners. We received our check a few days ago and it is finally starting to
sink in. I think my faith is restored in sweepstakes.
I think the biggest problem was US Bank when we went to cash the check. Everyone
they talked to at Nielsen and CitiBank verified the infor but they would not release a
dime to us and made us wait for 10 full days. But after a stressful 10 days we finally
got our money. We were in the process of moving and this couldn't have come at a
better time!!
