The technical (copyrighted) name for the mini marshmallows found in Lucky
Charms (and other breakfast cereals) is Marbits. They were invented, as was
the cereal, by General Mills VP John Holahan, when he cut up a few orange
marshmallow Circus Peanuts, stirred them into a bowl of Cheerios, and was
impressed with the results.
